What a fantastic service the Munich Greeters provide. Andy met me and fellow visitor Ben at Königsplatz and took us on a fascinating history tour of the local area. He pointed out many interesting features that the casual tourist would pass without a second glance. We also had the pleasure of his company over lunch. He was friendly, funny and carried an encyclopedia around in his brain. I'm now a mini-expert in Bavarian culture and the history of this fantastic city. I would heartily recommend the experience to any visitor looking to connect with Munich in a short space of time. Thanks Andy!

Super Christa, dass es Euch gefallen hat. Wir sprechen jedoch lieber von Stadtspaziergang als von "Führung", denn wir sind keine professionellen Stadtführer, sondern nur ehrenamtlich engagierte Münchner, die Gästen aus aller Welt "Ihr" München zeigen möchten. Von daher ist es auch etwas schwierig uns zu "buchen", denn wir können nie garantieren, dass zum gewünschten Termin auch ein/e Greeter/in Zeit hat.

Durch Zufall lasen wir im Testheft der Stiftung Warentest von der Organisation global greeter network. Da es in München die Munich greeters gibt und wir (4 ältere Ehepaare) ohnehin schon München gebucht hatten und außerdem für alles Neue aufgeschlossen sind, haben wir (etwas kurzfristig) unser Glück versucht. Mit Christine und Manuela, die sich in ihrem historischen und aktuellen Bezug ideal ergänzten, hatten wir zwei Greeterinnen, die ihre Liebe zu München auf uns übertragen konnten und die uns mit Informationen versorgten weit über das hinaus, was man beim Rundgang sehen konnte. Wir können nicht oft genug danke sagen an die beiden und werden die Munich greeters all unseren Freunden epfehlen.

We had the most wonderful tour with Jane yesterday. She shared so much information, history and the little places one would never see on one's own. Jane also gave great suggestions on cultural things going on in the city and great places to see and dine on our own. She even went so far as to help us purchase metro tickets for the next day. Thank you Jane for all your efforts as we fell in love with your beautiful city and see it the way it should be seen.

My friend and I had an outstanding experience with Jane and Barbara from Munich Greeters. They met us in the evening and not only showed us around the city, providing some fascinating information about the different sights, but also provided great conversation over a fabulous dinner at a restaurant recommended by Jane. They were incredibly generous with their time. We spent our time in Munich following various tips from Jane and had a much richer experience as a result. Thank you so much!! I'd highly recommend using the Munich Greeters when visiting the city, and I'll definitely be checking other greeter organisations out in the future.

Hallo Yvonne, hallo Munich Greeters, ein toller München-Nachmittag war das! Begonnen mit einem perfekten Zusammentreffen ging es weiter mit schönen kleinen und großen Ecken, Plätzen und Orten, originellen Nischen und leckerem Eis. Es war informativ, "sinn-voll" und wir hatten eine richtig gute Atmosphäre. Wirklich empfehlenswert mit Lust auf mehr. Vielen Dank!

Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit in München mit unserem Greeter. Er konnte uns viel von der Innenstadt erzählen und zeigen, ging auf unsere Wünsche ein und nahm sich sehr viel Zeit für uns. Ich finde die Greeter eine super Idee und habe dieses ehrenamtliche Angebot sehr geschätzt und werde es wärmstens weiterempfehlen.
