I have a Bayern plate with the names of maybe family members and their coat of Arms arranged around the circle with different designs. Their are 12 different names. I will attempt to put them in order from 1-12…like a clock. Landshut, Lindau, Passau, Hofi/B, Erlangen, Nuernberg, Eichstaett, Starubing, Regensburg, Augsburg, Ingolstadt, Muenchen. On the back of the plate it has an oblong figure with a angel in it. I believe it's made of maybe zinc or aluminum. Or puter…not spelled right but I couldn't find it the dictionary?? I hope you can give me some background of maybe a price list. Thank-you for your time. Sincerely yours, Libby Lueders

We spent three days in Munich. Our last day was with Munich Greeter, Mark. This was our favorite day of Munich. He was kind enough to meet us in our hotel lobby and rearranged his usual tour route to accommodate for us. Mark took us all over the city giving us an insider guide of architecture, culture, and history. It was amazing how much he knew about the city. He gave great restaurant suggestions, knew where to pop in and out of for hidden gems and views of the city. We had lunch together in the winter palace on a sunny day while drinking the German wine that came recommended by Mark.
We cannot thank Mark enough for his time and hospitality.
Don't hesitate to make a booking with a Munich Greeter!

Many thanks to Eberhard for a wonderful tour of Munich. He was well prepared, informative and gave us great info about Munich and its history. He was also very helpful with our itinerary, mentioning sites to see during our travels through Bavaria. We highly recommend taking a tour with Eberhard, it was one of the best tours we've had.

Herzlichen Dank an Christine. Toll, mach weiter so.

Hello Naif,
there is a Souvenir store near Marienplatz (city center) (Neuhauser St. 2). But better ask the shopkeeper if it is "made in Germany".

We would like to thank our Greeter Christel and Greeters Munich. On the first day of our week's stay in the beginning of September we had the pleasure of meeting her, and she guided us through the higlights of this wonderful city. We could talk in German about history, culture and politics and got lots of ideas for the other days of our stay. We highly recomment contacting Munich Greeters when visiting the city. And being a Greeter myself in my home town, it gave me new ideas for my walks with guests there. We certainly hope to return!

We came to Munich on 17th August and met Eberhard at Marienplatz just 1 after arriving Munich. We visited most of the places in Altstadt in 4 hours which might have took us a day if we visited by ourselves. He explained about the History and Culture with such great Passion, Energy and also showed us the pictures how the same place looked at various time periods, that we could imagine walking through the same streets from the Past and Present at the same time. He also helped us plan our next 2 days in Munich and also mailed us the Information about the same. Thanks a lot Eberhard and Munich Greeters for introducing Munich in such a wonderful way. Keep up the great work!

I would like to thank Eberhard and the Munich Greeters for helping me to get to know Munich better. I was only in town for 1.5 days and the 4+ hours spent with Eberhard helped me to know and appreciate Munich a lot better. He took me around the city centre (Marienplatz) and explained the history and cultural aspects of Munich. We also enjoyed the local sausage with mustard as well as Augustiner Bier which went down very well with the food.
Thank you again Eberhard for making my time in Munich very enjoyable.

Hallo Greeter.

My wife, brother and I were in Munich for 4 days and were shown around Munich on our first day by Eberhard. His passion for Munich and commitment to the greeters cause is just outstanding. He was so energetic and enthusiastic in everything he did. Eberhard was well prepared and took us around all the important sights in the Marienplatz area. We walked and walked and he was so knowledgeable that the 6 hours we spent just flew away so fast. Thank you Eberhard and Munich greeters for a wonderful experience. Keep up the brilliant work. Thank you so much for this insightful and educational post, Andy!

I'm just curious – is there a place in Munich where one can take a workshop or class in Schuhplattler Dancing or Zwiefacher? How is the tradition usually passed on – is it traditionally through families?

P.S. I'm asking because I'd be interested in taking a class but I couldn't find anything on Google :/
