We thank Munich Greeter, Christel Levasier for her warm welcome to Munich on a chilly and rainy Sunday. Despite our confusion regarding the meeting spot, Christel cheerfully led us through the highlights of Marienplatz and its surrounds, adding many interesting historical facts. Aware of our interest in Ohel Jakob Synagogue and the Jewish Museum, she included information related to the Holocaust and made sure that we knew to attend the European Day of Culture event occurring at the synagogue. Being able to connect with someone from Munich greatly enhanced our visit.
