The Tollwood summer festival in 2012

When the weather is nice it’s always worthwhile to visit the Olympic park. This is even more true for July and August. In those months, not only the remnants of the Olympic Games 1972 can be visited, but also a range of free events.

Tollwood summer festival, until 21 July
This festival in the southern part of the Olympic park offers market booths and culinary specialities from all over the world as well as culture. Among others, concerts, theatre performances, cabaret, street artists and art installations wait to be discovered – partially for free, partially not.

Monday to Friday 2pm – 1am, at the weekends 11am – 1am.

The Theatron music summer in 2012

Theatron music summer,* 1 – 25 August
At a stage in the Olympic lake, more than 50 music acts will perform. Local artists from Munich and surroundings are in the focus, but of course artists from other parts of Germany and Europe can also be seen. The programme is so diverse anybody should find something for his or her taste.

Open daily from 7pm.
